Choose the band that matches your exact device. WHOOP 4.0, WHOOP 5.0 and WHOOP MG do not all use the same accessory requirements.
First, check your device in the WHOOP app
- Open the WHOOP app.
- Go to the device section.
- Read the registered model: WHOOP 4.0, WHOOP 5.0 or WHOOP MG.
WHOOP 4.0
WHOOP 4.0 bands use a different slider and clasp mechanism. They are not compatible with WHOOP 5.0 or WHOOP MG.
WHOOP 5.0
Choose the WHOOP 5.0 option on the Strapion product page. Do not use a 4.0 band.
WHOOP MG
WHOOP MG can physically connect to some 5.0-style hardware, but Heart Screener and ECG readings require an MG-compatible band with conductive clasp hardware. Choose the WHOOP MG option only when it is explicitly shown on the product page.
A standard 5.0 band is not a substitute for MG-specific conductive hardware. Learn more in our complete compatibility guide.
Fit and sizing
Strapion nylon bands are adjustable. Check the individual product page for its stated wrist range. The sensor should sit flat and snug about one inch above the wrist bone without restricting circulation.
